During your horse’s initial training you actually begin defining their
career. It is at this time that their foundation is developed -- ultimately
heading them on the path to success! Unfortunately, if their early
training is handled incorrectly, the path can easily become clouded
with stress and frustration for both you and your horse.
I have spent many years starting young horses and have taken the
time to understand the young horse. It is paramount to build a
foundation based on trust and willingness -- encouraging the horse to
work harder to please you because they want to. When their minds are
developed with positive and patient reinforcement, you create a willing
